Oklahoma Baptist Homes for Children

Does this sound like you?
group of women

You care about the well-being of children, emotionally, physically and spiritually, both the born and unborn. You are generous with your time and resources to help the community around you. You are passionate about your love for your family and friends. You enjoy being around other women with similar views and concerns. You see a problem and you want to find a solution.

Women of Compassion

We are seeking generous, community-minded women from across Oklahoma to carry out the mission of Oklahoma Baptist Homes for Children. The mission of Oklahoma Baptist Homes for Children is to demonstrate God’s love by providing hope to children and their families while leading them to be followers of Christ.

Women of Compassion is open to women of all ages and denominations who want to make a difference in the lives of children.

Our Event

Members meet with other women from across the state annually, where they will be inspired by national speakers and hear from prospective grant recipients to cast their vote. Your vote, your voice, helps determine how the yearly contributions are spent. Absentee ballots will be made available for members unable to attend the event.

Our Goal

Women of Compassion enables you to be part of gifts that are collectively larger than most women can afford to contribute individually. Each donation for membership is due by the day of the annual forum. The date for 2020 is April 4.

Each member of Women of Compassion contributes $1,000 per year.

Women of Compassion’s goal is to reach at least 100 members each year.* By reaching our goal of 100 members, we will be capable of awarding a $50,000 grant to one prospective recipient and the remaining $50,000 will provide much needed operating costs to the remaining participants. If more than 100 members are reached, subsequent grants will be awarded in 50,000 increments. Each increment will alternate between a prospective recipient and an operating grant.

*If less than 100 women join us, the first $50,000 will be awarded to the first place recipient and any additional funds (up to $50,000) will be directed to all Oklahoma Baptist Homes for Children ministries.
