Itinerary*
WEDNESDAY, MAY 28
Depart Oklahoma City or Tulsa for Charleston, South Carolina. On arrival we will board our charter bus and depart for our first stop – Magnolia Plantation and Gardens. We will explore this wonderful house and gardens along with a nature train tour through the plantation grounds. We will check in our hotel before departing for dinner.
THURSDAY, MAY 29
Breakfast, then this morning we will have a guided tour of this beautiful city. Following our tour we will have some free time in the Charleston City Market to shop and have lunch. This afternoon we will visit the Charleston Tea Garden – here we will take a trolley tour through the thousands of tea bushes. Short rest at the hotel before going out to dinner as a group.
FRIDAY, MAY 30
Breakfast, then we will take a historic carriage tour around Charleston followed by some free time in the city before departing for Savannah, Georgia. Upon arrival we will take a trolley tour through this historic city. Check in our hotel which is located on Riverstreet. Dinner with the group after checking in our hotel.
SATURDAY, MAY 31
After breakfast, we will take a short guided tour followed by lunch at the famous Mrs. Wilkes Restaurant. This afternoon we will visit a couple of Savannah’s famous historic homes. The first one will be the Juliette Gordon Low Birthplace (founder of the Girl Scouts). Then we will visit the Telfair Academy, which is the oldest public art museum in the south and the first museum in the United States founded by a woman. We will also have some freetime along Riverstreet before we meet for dinner as a group.
SUNDAY, JUNE 1
Breakfast, and this morning we will visit the historic Mercer House followed by some free time before departing for the airport and our flight home.
