My name is Savannah*, and I am the mother of two amazing children. My journey at The Vine began on June 2, 2020, and I stayed there until February 11, 2023. I came to The Vine after completing rehab, realizing that I needed more than just sobriety. I needed a place to grow, heal, and learn how to truly live again.
One of the biggest adjustments for me was learning how to be present and sober while also being a mom. Rebuilding that relationship with my children was both beautiful and incredibly challenging. Honestly, learning how to be a mother again was the hardest thing I have ever done, but it was also the most important. I had to learn patience, consistency, and how to show up every day, even when it was difficult.
What I loved most about living at The Vine was the support system. There were always people around me who encouraged me, held me accountable, and reminded me that I was not doing this alone. That sense of community made a huge difference in my life and helped me keep moving forward when things felt overwhelming.
During my time there, I went through the different Phases of the Family-Focused Care program, and each one helped me grow in a new way. The earlier phases taught me structure and helped me build a solid foundation. As I moved forward, I gained independence, confidence and responsibility. Each step pushed me to become stronger and more capable, not just as a woman, but also as a mom.
I am really proud to say I recently graduated from Phase 5. That accomplishment means a lot to me, because it represents how far I have come. Even after leaving The Vine, I know I have built habits, strength, and a mindset that will continue to carry me forward. It feels good to know I have achieved something that will last beyond my time there.
Right now, I am in school working on my prerequisites for dental hygiene. I also work in a job that I absolutely love—assisting in cleaning teeth. It is something I genuinely enjoy, and it is exciting to build a future that I am passionate about. My goal is to become a dental hygienist so I can provide for my kids and give us a stable, healthy life.
If I could encourage someone who is nervous about coming to The Vine, I would tell them that it is okay to be nervous, but this place can truly change your life if you are willing to grow. It will not always be easy, but it will be worth it.

Prayer Requests
I ask for prayer for my children, my school, and for The Vine, that it continues to be a place where lives are changed just like mine was.
