Masie’s Story
Morgan moved to the Baptist Home for Girls (BHG) about three years ago, because her parents decided she needed a new situation. “My biggest adjustment was getting used to the way of life at BHG. It was very different from what I experienced at home. There was a lot more structure….since I have moved to BHG, the biggest difference in my life is Jesus. Without Him, there was a lot of negativity in my life that I thought was normal. Now, I experience much more joy and fulfillment.” – Morgan
Kade’s Story
Kade moved to Baptist Children’s Home (BCH) in June 2024. “I struggled with many temptations, and my behavior toward my family was not the best. I did not have passing grades and had a negative attitude toward following rules and authority…My favorite memory is hearing the gospel, and by doing so I gave my life to Christ.”
Hearts Changed At Hope
On January 11, 2024, a client of Hope Pregnancy Center and her 12-year-old son were attending classes. Pastor Larry Frye, a Hope volunteer, presented the gospel, and the client accepted Christ! Her son could hear Larry’s presentation of the gospel and entered the room declaring he was also ready to give his life to Christ!
A Whole New Person
Before coming to the Family-Focused Care program, Brittney’s* addictions had taken everything from her. Living at Oklahoma Baptist Homes for Children (OBHC) has had such a profound impact on her life. “Before coming to OBHC my life was a disaster. Now my life is amazing, and it does not seem real that I’m here,” Brittney said.
Ethan’s Story
My name is Ethan. I am 13 years old and from Kansas. My favorite color is purple, and I enjoy reading and playing NBA 2K. I have lived at Boys Ranch Town (BRT) for almost nine months. It was an adjustment getting used to waking up at 5:30 a.m.
Kristen’s Story
My name is Kristen. I am 34 years old, and I have four children. My two oldest children currently live with my parents, while I have custody of my two youngest. When I came to The Vine, my boys had a lot of trauma and a lot of behavioral issues that needed to be addressed.
Michael’s Story
Living at BRT was the first real time that I lived on my own and had to take care of myself. This is where I went from being a kid to being a man.
Dillon’s Story
Lately, I have been seeing Jeremiah 29:11 everywhere, and I think God is telling me I have a purpose – do not give up, and trust Him that it will all get better.

During my time at BRT, I have learned we are all family here, and everyone cares about you and is kind. I really like that.

This program has been such a blessing and taught me there is a better way to live. You just have to want it enough and put full faith in God.
