Tommy and Muriel CooperTommy and
Muriel Cooper

When he was younger, Tommy Cooper served his country as a pilot in the U.S. Navy. Following his career in the Navy, Tommy worked as an Air Traffic Controller for 14 years in Texas, Tinker AFB, Wiley Post, and Will Rogers airports. Muriel worked as a bookkeeper and they both retired in the 70’s.

For numerous years Tommy and his wife, Muriel, have supported the ministry of OBHC through regular donations for Boys Ranch Town and Baptist Children’s Home in Oklahoma City. They helped purchase a van for Boys Ranch Town and established a significant gift annuity through the Baptist Foundation of Oklahoma for the benefit of OBHC.

Tommy and Muriel are members of Southern Hills Baptist Church in Oklahoma City and continue to be faithful supporters of OBHC despite the fact they lost their home when it was destroyed by a tornado, and both have health problems.

Besides their financial support of OBHC, Tommy and Muriel have demonstrated a genuine love and concern for the children. They have the ability to make our children feel special. Tommy and Muriel’s faithful support has helped enable OBHC to help children become capable, caring Christian adults by sharing Christ’s love and providing hope and homes for children.

David Peck, assistant administrator at the Baptist Children’s Home in Oklahoma City, states, “Sherry and I have grown to love the Coopers. Mrs. Cooper has such a delightful sense of humor and Mr. Cooper is one of the gentlest men that I have known. They are genuinely loving and caring people who deserve any words of praise you give them.”  3-30-07
