Dr. V.K. Curtis Dr. V.K. Curtis

Dr. V.K. Curtis has served as chairman of the Oklahoma Baptist Homes for Children Board of Trustees and has completed two full terms. He is in his second year as Advisor to the Trustees. He previously served as the interim president during the fall of 1996 through February 1997 when Tony Kennedy was named president.

Dr. V.K. and his wife Doris have two grown children and two grandchildren. They are active members of First Baptist Church in Broken Arrow.

Dr. V.K. is known as an educator with a heart for children. He is a retired vice president of Northwestern Oklahoma State University. He received his BS from Oklahoma Baptist University, and an Ed.D. from the University of Oklahoma. He enjoys traveling and studying history.

His consistent support encourages others in Oklahoma to support OBHC’s ministry. He continues to be a major contributor to the overall ministry of Oklahoma Baptist Homes for Children. His giving history and his love for children certainly qualifies him for membership in the Gladys Smith Society.  03-23-04
