Anthony JordanDr. Anthony Jordan

Anthony Jordan was born in Ponca City, Oklahoma, and grew up in Skiatook. He accepted Christ as his personal Lord and Savior and was baptized at First Baptist Church, Skiatook. He committed his life to special service at Falls Creek and surrendered to the preaching ministry at First Southern Baptist Church, Pratt, Kansas. Dr. Jordan is married to the former Polla Crutchfield. They have a son, Adrian and a daughter, Alisha.

Dr. Jordan served as a pastor for 28 ½ years serving at Northwest Baptist Church, Oklahoma City from 1982-96. Following his pastorate at Northwest, Dr. Jordan was elected Executive Director-Treasurer of the Baptist General Convention of Oklahoma (BGCO). The BGCO is made up of 1715 churches with 760,000 members. As a pastor, Dr. Jordan assisted children in placement at Oklahoma Baptist Homes for Children. Dr. Jordan gives special thanks to OBHC for entrusting their family with a beautiful and gifted little girl, Alisha, who is now the apple of her daddy’s eye.

Dr. Jordan was instrumental in the formation of Oklahoma Baptist Homes for Children, Inc. in 1993. He has continued to be a champion for children in need of a home. He has been faithful and available in his support of the ministries of Oklahoma Baptist Homes for Children. Dr. Jordan is excited to share his personal testimony in the promotion of Oklahoma Baptist Homes for Children by his endorsement of the Centennial book: Hope & Homes: a century of caring and for other various videos produced for the promotion of OBHC.

He is a strong pro-life advocate and speaks frequently on behalf of pro-life causes. He is the prime mover behind the Oklahoma City Hope Pregnancy Center. Dr. Jordan continues the legacy of love and commitment of Oklahoma Baptists for the vulnerable, helpless and hopeless in our society. 12-03-02
