Terry and Dean PitchfordTerry and Dean Pitchford

Terry and Dean Pitchford are faithful members of First Baptist Church in Enid, Oklahoma. They are former longtime members of First Baptist Church, Hennessey, where Terry was involved with the youth program, and began a Bible study for young woman of the church.

They are the proud parents of a son and daughter. Amy Humphrey and her husband, David; and children, Amanda and Meraiah Humprey; and son Jared Pitchford and his wife Sofia; daughter Natalia, and a new baby expected in May, 2011. Terry and Dean both enjoy traveling in their RV.

Terry faithfully served on the OBHC Board of Trustees and just completed her second term. Her time on the Board was one that brought her much joy. She continues to be very committed to the ministry of helping boys and girls become capable, caring Christian adults.

Tony Kennedy states, “They have a love for the Savior and in their expression of His love, they demonstrate a loving and caring attitude for children whether in OBHC’s care or the local church. I first met Terry when I was the administrator at BRT and we worked together dealing with troubled teenagers at her church. Terry directly works with the youth and was the go-to person in her church.”

Terry and Dean Pitchford have made a significant contribution to the present and future ministry of Oklahoma Baptist Homes for Children.  Their volunteer efforts, history of giving, and love for children qualify them for membership in the Gladys Smith Society. This membership is the highest award given by OBHC to say “thank you” to people who make an outstanding effort on behalf of at risk children in Oklahoma. 12-03-10
