Carie WhiteCarie White

Carie White volunteered at the Crisis Pregnancy Center, currently Hope Pregnancy Center – North in Oklahoma City, in the early 1990’s. Carie also volunteered at our Oklahoma City south location. She has been involved in the HPC fundraising banquets throughout the years, serving on the banquet team and as a table host for these events. As a weekly volunteer, Carie shared and showed Christ’s love for many young women who needed her kind understanding during their time of dealing with an unplanned pregnancy.

Carie is married to her high school sweetheart, Lloyd White. They have three daughters, Dara Steward, Amanda White and Marsha White. She and Lloyd have two grandsons, Evan and Eli.

Between her volunteer years with Hope she taught upper level math at Moore West Junior High, Westmoore High School, and Christian Heritage Academy.

Carie is an accomplished seamstress and cake decorator. Often in the summer you might find her water skiing with family and friends.

She is very active at Southern Hills Baptist Church. The Whites have opened their home many times to groups and families needing a place to stay whether for a night or for a month. She has been a mentor to many young women through the years.  Carie has served her church in many ways including leadership roles on various committees, teaching Sunday school, and cooking at the Falls Creek cabin for over 200 hungry campers. Carie was a valued member of a team from her church which established an orphanage in Cambodia. Today 140 children call it home.

In the last few years Carie has completed her Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy from Southern Nazarene University and is working on completing the 300 supervision hours needed to apply for licensure as an LPC. She is at the present time working with Northcare.

Candy Hines, state director of Hope Pregnancy Ministries, states “Carie and Lloyd are long-time generous donors of OBHC and Hope Pregnancy Centers.  Carie has been a true blessing to our ministry, touching many lives through this journey, leaving God’s love wherever she goes, whether in our community or across the world.” 9-10-10
