Running for a Cause

Baptist Children’s Home, Owasso hosted its annual Hope n’ Homes Impact Run on Saturday, September 12. In perfect near-fall weather, 93 people participated in the 5K and Fun Run.

In the Fun Run, five residents of the Owasso campus placed in the top three in their categories. In the 5K, one boy on campus placed third overall in the male division.

Top Overall Male Finishers:
1st place – Cliff Krumwiede
2nd place -Jaxon Sivils
3rd place – Jacob* (Name changed to protect privacy)

Top Overall Female Finishers:
1st place – Cassie Bomberg
2nd place – Kristi Abbey
3rd place – Kara Peters

Special recognition certificates were given to Faith Baptist Church, Claremore and Clearview Baptist Church, Broken Arrow for outstanding participation and annual support of the race.

Volunteer Coordinator Darla Neighbors said, “The weather was perfect. Social distancing was observed. It was a great morning to run for Jesus and the Baptist Children’s Home.” All funds raised from admission will go toward the general campus fund to provide basic needs for the children year-round.
