In 2015, the board of trustees felt led to expand OBHC’s ministry into northwest Oklahoma. In 2016, Northwest Ministries was started. Headquartered in Alva, Northwest Ministries’ goal is to work with community partners and churches to develop, promote and implement OBHC ministries in this area. This includes beginning LifeWize in some of the middle and high schools as well as Empowered Parenting, a program that helps young families preparing to have a baby. OBHC is looking for other ways to expand their ministry opportunity there as well.
