Centennial Heroes

Mr. James V. Browning and Mr. Charles T. Boldin were honored in the afternoon session of the OBHC Board of Trustees by President Tony Kennedy with a Centennial Hero Citation for their life-long dedication to Oklahoma Baptist Homes for Children.

Mr. Kennedy commended Mr. Boldin and Mr. Browning for continuing to be champions for children. Mr. Boldin and Mr. Browning were presented a framed citation listing their accomplishments. Each had an opportunity to respond with their gratitude for the privilege of serving children.

Mr. Boldin shared the scripture found in Matthew 16, "Who do you say I am?" Simon Peter answered, "You are the Christ, the son of the living God." Mr. Boldin stated his hope is that Oklahoma Baptists never forget who they are or who they serve.

Mr. Browning’s response included a story of an alumni and how Mr. Browning never ceases to be amazed at God’s grace and goodness to the children of OBHC.

Introduction of special guests included friends and family of Mr. Boldin and Mr. Browning. Those introduced were Mrs. Ellen Boldin, Mrs. Mitzi Lee; Mrs. Mickie Browning, Carol, Gary, and Jeff Clark, Mrs. Mary Ray, Ms. Eulalia Browning, Dr. and Mrs. Bill Bruster, Dr. Larry McCauley, Neoma and Ron Staples, and Charles Lance.
