Hope Pregnancy Center, Ardmore Celebrates Rededication
Hope Pregnancy Center, Ardmore welcomed community members to the rededication of their center on February 24.
Serving Southern Oklahoma, Hope Pregnancy Center opened for business in March 2014, becoming one of five Hope Pregnancy Center locations in Oklahoma. Hope Pregnancy Center is a safe space to explore your options, process your emotions and receive accurate information on each pregnancy choice. Hope offers confidential and free services including pregnancy testing, ultrasounds, parenting classes, adoption referrals and abortion recovery classes.
After years of serving women and men experiencing an unintended pregnancy, Hope recently made upgrades to the center, including a full remodel providing a second counseling room. A fresh coat of paint makes the center more appealing and brighter, creating a welcome environment. The redesign provides more privacy and quality care for clients seeking help. Grants provided by Southern Oklahoma Memorial Foundation and Butterfield Memorial Foundation, as well as individual and anonymous donors helped to provide these upgrades.
Gayla White, State Director for Hope Pregnancy Center stated, “The remodeled space allows our staff and volunteers to better serve women and men struggling with a pregnancy decision with greater confidentiality and professionalism. Our desire is for each one who comes to Hope to feel valued and respected as they receive services and education to make an informed pregnancy decision.”
Staff and volunteers provided tours for guests in attendance. Several pastors and local leaders attended the rededication and shared the impact that Hope has in the community.
Bruce Kirby, a community leader in Ardmore said, “I know someone who came to Hope Pregnancy Center and it was an amazing experience for her. It really changed her life.” Kirby explained how he learned more about Hope’s services, “I learned about Forgiven and Set Free, the post-abortion class to help women heal. I know women who can benefit from this and can now refer them here. It’s incredible how many things are offered at Hope that can help people in all situations.”
President of Oklahoma Baptist Homes for Children Greg McNeece says this remodel will change the scope of impact in southern Oklahoma. “I hope this refreshed center brings an awareness to our services and the ability to serve people here. This redesign is also more functional for staff, so we can focus on providing the most efficient client care possible.”
Since opening its doors in 2014, Hope Pregnancy Center, Ardmore has served 1,567 clients, providing 1,258 pregnancy tests and 1,019 ultrasounds. Each week, Hope has averaged 12 dozen diapers being sent out the door with clients who earn rewards from attending parenting classes.
