Oklahoma Baptist Homes for Children

Hope & Homes

A hundred years from now it will not matter what my bank account was or what sort of house I lived in or the kind of car I drove; but the world may be a little better because I was important in the life of a child. – Anonymous

In 1903, Baptists in Oklahoma and Indian Territories saw a need to provide hope and homes for children and began the Oklahoma Baptist Orphans’ Home. Over 16,000 children have found help through the many services we provide.

What began as an orphans’ home in a one-story residence with two infant girls, Gladys and Annabelle, is today a diverse ministry. It consists of four separate residential campuses located across the state, a maternity home, and two Hope Pregnancy Centers.

This commemorative book highlights some of the triumphs and tragedies our state and country have experienced that have affected Oklahoma Baptists’ ministry to children.

It is our hope that this book will help you see how God has done a great work in the lives of the boys and girls who have been, and who are now, a part of Oklahoma Baptist Homes for Children.

Our mission is to help children become capable, caring, Christian adults by sharing Christ’s love and providing hope and homes for children. We feel privileged to be significant in the lives of so many boys and girls today, and we look forward to helping more children in the next 100 years.
