Clifford and Maxine Plummer

"In 1956, we moved to Boys Ranch Town, feeling sure this was where God wanted us to be. We packed our personal clothes, TV, and my sewing machine and moved to one room in the Johnson Building at the Ranch,” the late Maxine Plummer said.

Clifford and Maxine PlummerClifford and Maxine Plummer served at Boys Ranch Town for 26 years. Over the years, their duties ranged from houseparents to program director and hostess. The Plummers were very proud to have been a part of the program at Boys Ranch Town, which enabled so many boys to grow in self-esteem, character, citizenship, education, and in their relationship with Jesus Christ.

A cottage was named in honor of Clifford and Maxine, the Plummer Cottage, where BRT staff reside.

After their retirement, the Plummers fondly recalled, “For 26 years we saw hundreds of boys turn their lives around to the point of achieving a sense of self-fulfillment and happiness."
