Lola MeekLola Meek

Mrs. Lola Meek is a member of First Baptist Church, Moore where she and her husband, Grady, served for many years prior to his death.

She continues to be a faithful supporter of OBHC. Besides their financial support of OBHC, Lola and the Meek family have demonstrated a genuine love and concern for our children.

Tony Kennedy, president of Oklahoma Baptist Homes for Children, states, “Lola is an encourager and an example of a Proverbs 31 woman.” Her faithful support has helped enable OBHC in assisting children to become capable, caring Christian adults by sharing Christ’s love and providing hope and homes for children.

Tandy James, executive vice president of Oklahoma Baptist Homes for Children, states, “I visited with Lola and Grady when they created a scholarship trust through The Baptist Foundation of Oklahoma benefiting OBHC alumni. Lola and Grady were proud of their own children and wanted to give the children in our care a chance at a better life through education. This scholarship has been a blessing to many children since it was put in place, and it will continue to do so in the future. I appreciate Lola's generous spirit and I always admired Grady because of his fierce desire to demonstrate his love of Christ through his love for Lola, his family, his friends, and his church.”

The staff and children are thankful to Mrs. Meek for her support and her many expressions of love and concern. Our prayer is that God will bless Lola and her family for their love and support.

This membership is the highest award given by OBHC to say “thank you” to people who make an outstanding effort on behalf of at-risk children in Oklahoma through the ministry of Oklahoma Baptist Homes for Children.
