Ken and Nova Minick
Ken and Nova MinickGreg McNeece, President of OBHC presented Ken and Nova Minick the Gladys Smith Society Award at the May 2017 OBHC Board Meeting.

The Minick Family and Minick Materials have supported OBHC for several years. They are committed to supporting Boys Ranch Town (BRT), the Arcadia Ranch, and the annual style show for Baptist Children’s Home, Oklahoma City and Boys Ranch Town.

The Minicks faithfully give to the Oklahoma City Community Foundation Endowment Program which benefits BRT’s Transitional Living Homes and the Transitional Living Scholarship Program, which provides scholarships for young men who desire advanced education. The Oklahoma City Community Foundation recently highlighted the Minick Family with an article in their 2016 Annual Report. Minick Materials provides gravel, topsoil and other needs for campus roads and projects at BRT and the Arcadia Ranch.

The business and family have a heart for the ministries of OBHC. It is important to the family that children are provided a safe home after high school graduation while having the opportunity to further their education. Brent Thackerson, BRT administrtor, and the staff of OBHC appreciate the commitment this family and company have made to the children in the care of OBHC. BRT is grateful that the Minick Family and Minick Materials have chosen to partner with OBHC and share the love of Jesus with the children.

Ken and Nova Minick have a great fondness and demonstrate deep love and affection for this ministry. Their consistent support, which encourages others in Oklahoma to support OBHC’s ministry, and love for children are the qualifications for membership in the Gladys Smith Society.

This membership is the highest award given by Oklahoma Baptist Homes for Children to say “thank you” to people who make an outstanding effort on behalf of at-risk children in Oklahoma. 5.12.17
