James Relyea

James Relyea was born in Dallas, Texas and lived in Dallas through high school. He earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering at Texas Technological College. He spent two years in the U.S. Army, and earned a Master’s Degree at Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He has lived in five different locations. The most interesting location was Paris, France. Paris was a real adventure in learning by observation. He had only had a short introduction to the language before moving there.

James was a major contributor to the Kimbler Cottage that was dedicated in 1997 at Boys Ranch Town in Edmond. On October 18, 1999, he was recognized as a member of the Truman and Alice Maxey Legacy Society. James continues to be a major contributor to the overall ministry of Oklahoma Baptist Homes for Children.  03-26-02
