The Gladys Smith Society

Gary and Dana WilliamsGary and Dayna Williams

Gary and Dayna Williams were inducted into membership of the Gladys Smith Society at OBHC’s Board of Trustees Meeting on May 8, 2009.

The Gladys Smith Society was created in 1999 to honor individuals who make outstanding contributions to the ministry of Oklahoma Baptist Homes for Children. The society is named in honor of Gladys Smith, the first child taken into the Baptist Orphans’ Home in 1903.

Gary and Dayna Williams are significantly involved in the present and future ministry of Oklahoma Baptist Homes for Children, specifically Boys Ranch Town and the Oklahoma City Hope Pregnancy Centers.

Gary and Dayna are longtime members of First Baptist Church in Edmond. Gary, with Bob Howard Automotive, and Dayna, a homemaker, have provided leadership in the Oklahoma City Baptist Children’s Home and Boys Ranch Town Style Show.

Besides their financial support of OBHC, Gary and Dayna demonstrate a genuine love and concern for the children through attendance at style shows, President’s Leadership Banquets, and other campus activities. Their faithful support has helped enable OBHC to help children become capable, caring Christian adults by sharing Christ’s love and providing hope and homes for children.

Tony Kennedy, president of Oklahoma Baptist Homes for Children, states, "Gary and Dayna are personal friends and have been great encouragers to our ministry to children in need, both the born and unborn. I highly recommend them to be recognized as members of the Gladys Smith Society."  03-27-09
