Dr. Karen ReisigDr. Karen Reisig

Dr. Karen Reisig is significantly involved in the present and future ministry of Oklahoma Baptist Homes for Children, specifically the Hope Pregnancy Centers in Oklahoma City, both North and South. One of the tools the Lord uses to bring hope to the hearts of clients is the ultrasound machine. In the first three quarters of this year the two centers have provided 406 ultrasounds. Ninety percent of those clients chose life.

Every pregnancy center that offers medical services must have a medical director, preferably an obstetrician. The Hope Pregnancy Centers have been blessed to have Dr. Karen Reisig.

Dr. Reisig has delivered thousands of babies since opening her office in 1979 and has had numerous opportunities to share her faith and save the lives of babies whose parents were set to abort. Dr. Reisig was instrumental in helping the centers start the ultrasound program in 2003.

Dr. Reisig oversees the medical services at both centers, and reads and signs the ultrasound reports from the north center. Her faithful support has helped enable OBHC to help the born and unborn become capable, caring Christian adults by sharing Christ's love and providing hope and homes for children. Dr. Reisig was honored recently at the HPC OKC Banquet as she is retiring at the end of the year, and she is truly to be thanked for her faithful service to this ministry.

Dr. Reisig is a member of Quail Springs Baptist Church. Tony Kennedy stated, "It has been my pleasure to know Karen and her family for more than 25 years, and they have been a constant source of encouragement for our ministry. I highly recommend her to be recognized as a member of the Gladys Smith Society."
