Dr. Bruce Mason, Director of Missions for Craig Mayes Association, was inducted into membership of the Gladys Smith Society at the March 30 meeting of the Board of Trustees for Oklahoma Baptist Homes for Children.  Dr. Mason is a former member of the OBHC Board of Trustees, has served as its Chairman, and is currently an advisor to the Board.  He and his wife, Janell, have been active volunteers in Tulsa and Oklahoma City helping with OBHC Style Shows and Hope Pregnancy Center Fundraising Banquets.  Dr. Mason was instrumental in the purchase and design of the Hope Pregnancy Center in Tulsa.
The Gladys Smith Society was created in 1999 to honor individuals who make outstanding contributions to the ministry of OBHC.  The society is named in honor of Gladys Smith, the first child taken into the Baptist Orphan’s Home in 1903.  Pictured with Dr. and Mrs. Mason is Tony Kennedy, OBHC president (left). 12-02-11
