Tony Kennedy and Dale ClappDale Clapp

Dale Clapp, a longtime rancher in Northeast Oklahoma and a faithful member of Southern Hills Baptist Church in Miami, Oklahoma, loves Jesus, loves his family and loves children. Dale enjoys farming and ranching and enjoys sharing this love with lots of people he meets. Dale has blessed the children of Oklahoma Baptist Homes for Children for many years by providing his own cattle and hay as gifts to supplement the food program of OBHC. Dale's contagious enthusiasm has led a host of neighboring farmers and ranchers in NE Oklahoma to participate with Dale in providing these agriculture needs.

Over the past 6 years, 77 head of cattle have been donated to Boys Ranch Town. To quote Dale, "This makes me feel like I am worth something. I will do this until the day I die." Tony Kennedy states, "Being with Dale Clapp and the ranchers in NE Oklahoma is one of the most enjoyable experiences that anyone can have. These families depend upon the weather and the health of their livestock to make a living for themselves. And they happily share what God has provided them to help children in need. I am grateful for each opportunity that I have to be with Dale and his friends."

Membership in the Gladys Smith Society is the highest award given by OBHC to say "thank you" to people who make an outstanding effort on behalf of at-risk children in Oklahoma through the ministry of Oklahoma Baptist Homes for Children.
