Greg McNeece Named to New Position at OBHC

Greg and Karen McNeeceOn May 15, 2015 the Board of Trustees for Oklahoma Baptist Homes for Children approved a recommendation from the Succession Planning Committee/Search Committee that Greg McNeece be employed as the Special Assistant to the President with a start date of July 1, 2015, until the time of the formal election of Mr. McNeece on December 2, 2016, as the new president of Oklahoma Baptist Homes for Children. At that time, the current president, Tony Kennedy, will become the senior advisor to the new president until Mr. Kennedy’s retirement date of December 31, 2017.

Mr. McNeece has served at Prestonwood Baptist Church, Plano, Texas; Southern Hills Baptist Church, Oklahoma City; and as a consultant for the Baptist General Convention of Oklahoma. He has a bachelor’s degree from Oklahoma Baptist University and a master’s degree from Baylor University.

Tony Kennedy, OBHC president, states, “I am looking forward to introducing Greg to our friends across the state and to seeing the vision God gives Greg to continue the mission of OBHC.”

Greg and his wife, Karen, have two children: Jackson and Madison Grace. They have a long history with OBHC. Greg has served as an emcee at OBHC’s Hope Pregnancy Center banquets, and Karen has served as a volunteer and development representative for Hope Pregnancy Center, North OKC.

Mr. McNeece said to the trustees, “I’m very humbled, very honored, and I don’t take this as a light assignment from the Lord. We have a lot of work to do, and I have to learn a ton. We’re excited. Thank you for the opportunity to serve OBHC, serve children and future generations.”
