Owasso Style Show

For more than 20 years, Baptist Home for Children, Owasso has hosted its annual Back-to-School Style Show & Brunch. From its humble beginning in 1999, it has grown to include more than 1,300 in attendance each year. The purpose of the Style Show is to create awareness and support for children and families in the care of OBHC as they go back to school. With the money raised, a special fund is set up to provide the yearly clothing and other basic needs of the children at Baptist Children’s Home, Owasso. At the event, participants are able to partake in the silent auction and quilt sale, followed by a meal. Attendees are entertained by an emcee as children beamed with excitement modeling their favorite outfit for school or church.

Our theme this year is “Hope Grows Here” and will be held on Saturday, August 10, at the Renaissance Hotel in Tulsa, Individual tickets may be purchased for $25. You may also reserve tables for 10 are available by calling our office at (918) 640-9277.

Additional ways to support the Style Show:

Paper Dolls
Sponsoring a child through our paper doll project is also a great way to raise funds for children’s clothing. A small group such as a Sunday school class, WMU, or community group may “outfit” a child for $200.00. The paper dolls are a great visual aid to assist in charting your group’s progress. Some churches have elected to use the paper doll project for a mission project. Contact Donna Brooks for more information by calling (918) 640-9277.
