Oklahoma Baptist Homes for Children (OBHC) has always believed in the sanctity of human life. Every child is a blessing from the Lord and at all times we must encourage life above all else. OBHC has partnered with the Baptist General Convention of Oklahoma (BGCO) to promote two important upcoming events, both supporting life! We want to encourage you, your family, friends and church to be a part.

Sanctity of Human Life SundayJanuary 21

Sanctity of Human Life Sunday is January 21. Churches of all denominations are encouraged to promote this important issue in your church. Please pray and talk with your church leadership on how your church can be a part. A resource guide, bulletin insert, two-minute video as well as other resources can be found at www.obhc.org/sohl.

Rose Day-February 7

Rose Day is Wednesday, February 7, and you have an opportunity to express your belief in the sanctity of human life by encouraging pro-life legislation in our state. Keynote speaker is Alveda King, Pastoral Associate and Director of Civil Rights for the Unborn. Attendees are encouraged to bring roses to their state senator and representative, the lieutenant governor, and governor. Rose Distribution begins at 9:30 a.m. at the 4th floor rotunda with the rally beginning at 11:30 a.m. in the House Chambers. Roses will not be provided.
