Rose Day 2018

Hope Pregnancy Centers
Recognized at Annual Rose Day Rally

More than 1,000 Oklahomans took part in the 27th Annual Rose Day event on Feb. 7 and focused on protecting unborn life. Individuals and families walked the State Capitol halls, delivering roses and pro-life messages to elected officials at the Capitol, to symbolize their stance in the pro-life movement. Among them were directors from each of the Hope Pregnancy Centers (HPC) campuses, who participated by delivering roses to their legislators and engaging in powerful conversations regarding pro-life efforts and abortion recovery.

“Delivering roses was the best way we can make a representation of the work that we do at HPC and letting our legislators know that life matters,” said Carolyn Anson, Director of HPC North. “It was an honor to attend this rally and engage in the important conversations that must occur for change to happen.”

Triple C Leadership Retreat

Residents Attend Annual
Triple C Leadership Retreat

Eleven children from OBHC campuses attended the annual Triple C Winter Retreat January 12-15 in Red River, New Mexico. Triple C, short for Capable Caring Christians, is a program for students who have been identified as leaders on each of OBHC’s residential campuses. Students chosen for this program work through a curriculum throughout the year, where they learn independent living skills, household basics, leadership skills and financial responsibility.

The goal of this program is for the students to learn these important truths and lessons in leadership, and in turn use their valuable skills to impact those around them in their schools and campus. OKC resident Kylie said, “Triple C has helped me become more prepared for the future when I am on my own and helped a lot with my leadership skills.”

Being chosen to attend this retreat is viewed as a privilege and an excellent opportunity to fellowship, be challenged in the Word and get away to focus.
