Why Janice Wrote the Check

Join Women of Compassion!

In 2014, OBHC pioneered a joyous initiative to partner with philanthropic women from across the state to satisfy specific needs at our four campuses and Hope Pregnancy Centers. These “Women of Compassion” came together in remarkable numbers, counting 112 members in its inaugural year. These faithful servants provided funds for much-needed storm shelters at our South Oklahoma City children’s home.

If you would like to start impacting lives in a significant way while getting to know incredible women, join now and be a part of Women of Compassion 2016 or contact Shonda Flowers at (405) 735-8343 for more information.

The 2016 Women of Compassion event will be held Saturday, April 9, at the Mayo Hotel in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Membership in Women of Compassion is $1,000 per year. For less than $2.75 a day, you can impact hundreds of lives and provide hope.

Janice Turner, Woman of CompassionJanice Turner is a true woman of compassion. For many years, Janice has been a devoted advocate for Baptist Children’s Home, Owasso. She has volunteered her time and talents on the silent auction committee for the Annual Style Show and Brunch, as well as sponsoring a cottage of boys with her Life Group. In 2014, when the opportunity arose for Janice to join the inaugural class of Women of Compassion, she was overjoyed.

“When I heard about Women of Compassion for the first time, I just thought, ‘What a great idea!” said Janice. “On my own, I can only do so much. But, if we all put our money together, we can really make a big difference for children in need."
