Boys Ranch Town Recognizes Dentist
for Volunteer Services

Dean McElvany, Edmond dentist, holds a plaque and a card of appreciation presented to him by Boys Ranch Town, Edmond, for 42 years of volunteer dental services to the boys at BRT. McElvany is part of a group of dentists in the Edmond area who have provided teeth cleaning, fillings, tooth extractions and other basic dental needs as a gift to the BRT boys. The staff at BRT conservatively estimates that McElvany has helped hundreds of boys from 1971 until his retirement on June 30, 2013.

Tandy James, Executive Vice President for Oklahoma Baptist Homes for Children, says, “Dean and his staff have been a tremendous blessing to our boys at the Ranch. Going to see Dean was not just an appointment to get your teeth fixed, it was a visit to someone who cared about you at a personal level while he met your physical needs. Our boys seem to know instinctively when someone is in their corner. Over the last four decades, our boys have known Dean as their friend as well as their dentist."
