Boys Ranch Town Rodeo

The 2018 Boys Ranch Town Rodeo is planned for Saturday, September 29, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

This year's rodeo and cookout at Boys Ranch Town promises to be a fun day filled with lots of excitement.

“Our boys and staff look forward to seeing everyone at the rodeo,” said Brent Thackerson, BRT administrator. “We’ve added calf roping as a new event this year. We hope you can join us!”

Boys of all ages who live on campus and staff children participate in the rodeo each year. From the youngest to the oldest, these young cowboys will entertain the entire family as they compete in different categories.

The rodeo kicks off at 10 a.m., followed by a cookout provided by Oakdale Baptist Church. Additional outdoor games and activities will be on campus throughout the day.

“We welcome all rodeo fans,” said Brent. “Bring your boots and hats for a great time of rodeo, good food and a little dust.”

Admission is free and donations are always welcome. Funds raised at the event will go towards helping boys at BRT. Last year, approximately 250 people attended the rodeo and cookout.

For more information, please call the campus at (405) 341-3606.

Participants in the rodeo are Boys Ranch Town residents, except in cases announced at the rodeo.
