Oklahoma Baptist Homes for Children

Place for Hope

Oklahoma Baptist Homes for Children (OBHC) has a reputation of providing excellent care for children since 1903. OBHC is the largest provider of private, not-for-profit, residential childcare in the state. We serve over 200 at-risk youth and families at our four campus locations across Oklahoma. We not only provide for their physical needs, but also their emotional, educational and spiritual needs.

All are Precious in His Sight

We do not discriminate on placement based on race, color, national origin, or religious affiliation. We believe children are a gift from God. Each one deserves to be treated with dignity and respect. We are committed to meeting the needs of children through each stage of their life as they grow and reach young adulthood.

A History of Helping

Oklahoma Baptist Homes for Children began in 1903 and has since served more than 10,000 children. Currently, OBHC cares for approximately 200 children at its four campuses.

Safe, Stable Environment

Children at OBHC live family-style with other children and a qualified, married, Christian couple serving as houseparents. The children attend public schools where they are encouraged to become involved in extracurricular activities. Additionally, OBHC offers a wide variety of recreational and educational after-school programs.

Church Involvement

All the children in the care of OBHC attend a local, southern Baptist church. Through their church, children have the opportunity to become involved in youth groups, attend camps and participate in mission trips. However, no child is required to become a member of the church or be baptized.

Our Mission

Our mission is to demonstrate God’s love by providing hope through empowering children and their families to follow Christ.
