Oklahoma Baptist Homes for Children

1993 to 2002

Tony Kennedy

Tony KennedyTony Kennedy was unanimously approved by the Board of Trustees as the new president of Oklahoma Baptist Homes for Children, Inc. on February 25, 1997. Prior to becoming president, Kennedy served as administrator of Boys Ranch Town, Edmond. The work at the Ranch was a natural fit after his 15 combined years as a high school agriculture teacher and district supervisor of vocational agriculture for the State Department of Vocational-Technical Education. The Kennedy family served at Boys Ranch Town from 1984-1997.

Kennedy has led the trustees through two strategic planning cycles, which has resulted in a 35 percent increase in the number of children served, the addition of a maternity home, increased public awareness and aggressive emphasis on children’s issues.
