Tony Kennedy with Kay DudleyKay Dudley

Kay Dudley has completed a 4-year term as a member on the OBHC Board of Trustees. During her term she served as the Chair of the Development Committee and currently serves as an Advisor. As a business woman, she brings great expertise to the various committees she serves.

Kay and her husband, the late Dr. Tom Dudley, have been long time members of First Baptist Church, Edmond. Kay previously worked as a nurse, served as the Appointment Secretary and as Secretary of State in the office of Governor Frank Keating; and is now a full-time homemaker. They have been committed to the cause to help provide hope and homes for children in our care. They have two daughters and one son and are grandparents to many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Dr. Dudley passed away on October 10, 2010.

Friends like Kay and Dr. Tom Dudley enable OBHC to fulfill its mission to help children become capable, caring Christian adults by sharing Christ's love and providing hope and homes for children. Kay was a driving force in the development of the Hope Pregnancy Center-South. Kay and Candy Hines visited with a number of friends on the south side of Oklahoma City during the time of the construction of the HPC-South, and Kay was instrumental in helping with recruiting volunteers and introducing Candy to many friends during this process. Kay and Tom have made a significant contribution to the present and future ministry of Oklahoma Baptist Homes for Children by their generous giving. Their history of giving and love for children are the qualifications for membership in the Gladys Smith Society. Their consistent support encourages others in Oklahoma to support the ministry of OBHC.

Tony Kennedy states, "Kay's enthusiasm, insight, and wisdom are a source of great encouragement as we continue to move forward in serving children, born and unborn."

This membership is the highest award given by OBHC to say "thank you" to people who make an outstanding effort on behalf of at-risk children in Oklahoma. 05-18-12
