Arthur Lynn Brown (A.K.A. Art) became the administrator of the Baptist Home for Girls, Madill, in 1993. His hometown is Central High, located between Lawton and Duncan, Oklahoma.
He felt the Lord’s leadership and a call to the youth ministry at the age of 15. Art attended Cameron University in Lawton where he earned his BS degree.
Art has served as president of OACIA (Oklahoma Association of Children’s Institutions and Agencies) and president of ACCA (Association of Christian Childcare Administrators, formerly Southwestern Association of Executives of Homes for Children). He currently serves on both the OkCare (Oklahoma Children’s Agencies and Residential Enterprises) board and the ACCA board.
Art has been the president of the Marshall County 4-H Volunteer Council, served on the Marshall County Chamber of Commerce, Marshall County Housing Authority board, and currently serves on the Marshall County Fair Board. He has served as interim pastor of several local churches.
Art and his family are active members of First Baptist Church, Madill. He and his wife, Dawn, have two children; a son, Austin, and a daughter, Kay Lynn. Art enjoys fishing, playing golf, and raising sheep.
