Baptist Children's Home, Oklahoma City

OKC Ballet Visits OKC Campus

The boys and girls living at the Baptist Children’s Home in Oklahoma City received a great treat on December 15 when dancers from the Oklahoma City Ballet visited the campus and presented selections from their highly-acclaimed production of The Nutcracker. Ten beautifully-costumed dancers captivated the attention of the children. Robert Mills, artistic director for the ballet, explained what the children were seeing, gave instructions to the children on dance moves and positions, and answered questions.

“I am very thankful when the children in our care have special opportunities to learn from and interact with those involved in the cultural arts,” said Tony Kennedy, president of Oklahoma Baptist Homes for Children. “It is a great gift to see organizations and individuals in Oklahoma City show such interest and compassion for children who are unable to live with their families during the Christmas season.”
